Our face is what we show to the world, what identifies us to other people. We always want to show and put on the best face possible. However, when we get acne, it can really upset us as adults, especially if we are unaware of it and someone else points it out to us. And if this happens to us as a social acceptance seeking teenager, however, it can be traumatizing.

There are many products on the market right now that claim to all but almost eliminate acne. However, most doctors claim that there is no cure for acne. You have to wonder sometimes though, since there are people that don't ever seem to have acne breakouts, and of course there are those models on TV with that perfect, clear skin. How do they do it?

Could the solution really be in using the right cleansers that are advertised on TV? Some of them are famously expensive. But are they worth the cost in terms of both money and diligence in scrubbing our faces every day?

There have been many cleansers on the market, both famous and obscure. Accutane used to be a popular, and wildly expensive treatment that some people used to swear by, that is, until it was discovered that it required greater and greater amounts of it to be effective. And of course, later you could have one of the infamous Accutane Breakouts bringing with it worse acne than ever before that was effectively untreatable. But today, we have more medicines, such as the popular Proactiv treatment that was created by true dermatologists.

Getting rid of acne, as you already (or will eventually) know, is rather a personal odyssey. It seems no person goes through exactly the same process dealing with acne, but it's possible to learn alot from each other's experiences. I have a success story, hopefully to your benefit, that I would like to share with you. It is a personal story of getting rid of acne and about an experience with acne cleansers. You can read all about it in the second part of this article.
